Satriani's distortion pedal. How to use it in rig?
There are a few videos on youtube about the pedal, but I didn't find any of them very satisfying.
Even Joe has a video where he introduces the new pedal and explains how they developed it with Vox:
There is a great video from Paul from Guitar World:

After watching and reading articles about the Satchurator I purchased one. It sounded great, but like others I had some trouble to get a good tone out of it first.
I found some videos where they were trying to compare it other pedals, but its a wrong direction.
Try to follow Satriani wanted. He is performing and recording artist. Most problematic problem is to get a good consistent distortion sound from crunchy to heavy.
The Vox Satchurator can handle that. When you use the know knob be careful. It might sound bad sometime but its not a "sounds great no matter where I set it" knob, its a TOOL. You can match the voicing of the pedal to your amp or recording rig.
